Action meeting: We Refuse the Rent Increase in Den Bosch on March 28.

This year, the highest rent increase in 30 years is imminent. Rents have already increased by more than 35% over the past 10 years. This year they threaten to increase by a maximum of 5.5% in the private sector and by a maximum of 5.8% in social rent. There are also income-related rent increases.

It means that you will pay significantly more every month, while other costs continue to rise. More than 800,000 tenants already have too little money left over after paying the rent for the necessary costs of living. In the Netherlands we are now the European leader when it comes to housing costs. 58% of the population pays on average more than 40% of their income in housing costs!

This increase must not go ahead!

Stop the Rent Explosion: Homes for People, Not for Profit!

Following on from previous years, we call on Den Bosch tenants to refuse the rent increase, which threatens to be implemented on July 1 every year. We guide tenants who want to organize against the cumulative rent increases through a step-by-step plan, local solidarity networks and take action against landlords who threaten to increase rents.

Sign up for the campaign via www.wijgerendehuurverhuur.nl and receive a step-by-step plan.

Action meeting

On March 28, during the European Housing Action Days we will discuss how we will collectively fight against rising rents and for a multi-year rent freeze in Den Bosch until July (when the rent increase is likely to take effect)! So do you want to commit to affordable housing? Be there:

March 28 at 7:30 PM, Ridderspoorstraat 2, Den Bosch
