Meeting: We Refuse the Rent Increase in Utrecht

This year, the highest rent increase in 30 years is imminent. Rents have already increased by more than 35% over the past 10 years. This year they may increase by a maximum of 5.5% in the private sector and by a maximum of 5.8% in social rent. There is also an income-related rent increase and your rent may be increased by 25 euros (that is more than 5.8%) if it is lower than 300 euros per month.

It means that you may pay 30 euros more every month, while other costs continue to rise. More than 800,000 tenants already have too little money left over after paying the rent for the necessary costs of living.

This increase must not go ahead!

That is why we will discuss on March 22 how we will collectively fight against the rent increase until July (when the rent increase takes effect)! So be there:

Friday, March 22 at 7:00 PM in the Moira Expo Hall on the Plompetoren Bridge in Utrecht.

Do you want to participate but can't be there? Please contact Wij Weigeren de Huurverhoging Utrecht or send Woonprotest Utrecht an email.
